The LabMaster Plug & Play is a complete pilot line that includes two unwinds, coater, laminator, dryer and rewind with integrated drives and controls. It can be configured for a variety of standard and optional coating methods that satisfy a broad range of applications. Dry bond laminator is standard and wet bond laminator is optional.

LabMaster is available in two versions. The standard Version A comes with an eight-foot single-zone dryer. Version B comes with a twenty-foot two-zone dryer. Both versions process webs up to 300mm (11.8") wide, accommodate material rolls up to 300mm (11.8") OD and run at speeds up to 30m/min (100fpm, nominal).

The LabMaster arrives pre-assembled on a unitized frame. Its small 4400mm(173)w x 1778mm(70)d footprint allows it to be installed in a small space. You just hook up the exhaust vent and utilities. There is virtually no mechanical installation, no electrical interconnections to be made, and no internal ducting required.

Faustel's new MCL-600 is a modular coating line that serves a variety of end-use applications. The components have been pre-engineered but, unlike prior standardized machines, there is extreme flexibility in the configuration of the line so that many markets may be served, including adhesive-coated products, medical products, packaging materials, functional and decorative-coated products. Solvent coatings, aqueous coatings and UV coatings may be processed on the MCL-600 with the available standard options offered.

Utilizing pre-engineered components means the complete machine, even with the amount of customization available, can be delivered more quickly and produced at a lower cost than an equivalent machine produced from completely customized drawings, without sacrificing quality.

The MCL-600 can process papers, films and foils up to 600 mm (24 inches) in width. A variety of interchangeable coating methods can be ordered with the machine, including roll coating, slot/die coating, rod coating, Varicoat Gravure, reverse roll and comma coating. The flotation dryer can be expanded from a base of three meters; single zone up to 12 meters; and four-zone with a choice of heating methods for the dryer air.

Unwinding and Rewinding stations are cantilevered for roll changing, and roll-loading equipment is provided. A secondary unwind is provided for dry-bond laminating.

The drive can be pre-selected for either low- or high-speed web processing. Drives and controls are completely integrated, and installation costs are minimized by pre-wiring and piping to the greatest extent possible. Ductwork is provided to connect the heating and air-handling skids to the dryer in the pre-defined location.

Among the many additional options are in-line corona treating, HEPA filters in the dryer airstream, wet-bond lamination, and many more.
