Faustel Opens a New Manufacturing Plant
Germantown, WI... Faustel, a leading manufacturer of web processing equipment for
the paper, film and foil converting industry has opened a new manufacturing plant in Xiamen,
People�s Republic of China. According to V. P. of Sales, Richard Greer, "Locating in Xiamen was a
strategic decision based on its position between Shanghai and Hong Kong on the coast of the Taiwan
Straight. Xiamen is a major transportation center from which equipment can be easily shipped to
both domestic and foreign destinations."
The new 22,000 square foot plant is a state-of-the-art facility equipped to manufacture Faustel�s
coating, laminating and web handling equipment, including complete lines, pilot lines and
components. The plant officially opened in late 2005 and has already completed several major
projects.
Faustel Inc., headquartered in Germantown, Wisconsin has been designing and building custom
converting equipment for over 50 years. Faustel�s offering includes complete coating and laminating
lines for paper, foil and film, control systems, in-register coaters and printers, web drying equipment,
unwinders and winders. Faustel�s newest innovations include the Vari-Coat Gravure Coater,
PerfectStart Rewind System and, most recently, the LabMaster Plug & Play Pilot Coater. Their
Process and Technology Center allows customers to experiment with different coating, drying, curing or winding methods in the development of new processes or in the alteration of existing processes as they
seek to bring new products to market or make manufacturing improvements to existing ones.
